AP Dr Afiza Mohamad Ali

Afiza Mohamad Ali is currently an Associate Professor at the Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, International Islamic University Malaysia. She completed her PhD in Linguistics at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. She was the Director of Centre for General Studies, Centre for Foundation Studies and consequently the We4Asia office at Universiti Kuala Lumpur. Her research interests include critical reading/thinking, language and identity, ESL, Language for Specific Purposes/ ESP and professional communication. She is also an active exco member of the Malaysian Association of Applied Linguistics, an affiliate with the Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée or International Association of Applied Linguistics since 2015.

Dr Samshul Amry Abdul Latif

Assistant Professor Dr. Samshul Amry Abdul Latif is currently attached to the Department of Tourism, Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Pagoh since 2017. He graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and started his career in several private limited companies. Subsequently, he earned his Masters Degree and Ph.D in International Business from Universiti Utara Malaysia. His research interests include tourism marketing and consumer behaviour, among others. Dr Rafidah Sahar

Rafidah Sahar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language, International Islamic University Malaysia. She holds a doctoral degree from The University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Her interests include English language studies, language and society, intercultural communication, English for Specific Purposes and research in higher education.

Dr Farrah Diebaa Rashid Ali

Dr Farrah Diebaa Rashid Ali is an assistant professor at the Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, International Islamic University Malaysia. She is interested in Conceptual Metaphor and is currently working on identities in political discourse. Her research works have been published by both local and international publishers. Dr Shahrul Nizam Mohd Basari

Dr Shahrul Nizam Mohd Basari is a lecturer of Department of English, Kulliyyah of Languages and Management (KLM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). His areas of interests are language learning strategies, needs analysis, rights analysis and critical EAP. He started his teaching career at a secondary school in 1999 after obtaining his first degree in TESL from UKM. Later, he joined IIUM in 2005 and in 2008, he pursued his master’s degree in education in UKM. In 2019, he received his PhD from the University of Sheffield, U.K. Currently, he is teaching courses such as English for Academic Writing, Introduction to Linguistics and Materials Development in Language Teaching in ESP at IIUM. Dr. Roslina Abdul Aziz

Roslina Abdul Aziz has built up a career as an academic for more than 25 years at Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pahang. She holds a PhD in Corpus Linguistics from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Her research interests include areas in Corpus Linguistics, English for Specific Purposes and English language teaching/learning.

Mr. Saabdev Kumar Sabapathy

Saabdev Kumar Sabapathy obtained his Bachelor of Education (TESL) and Master of Education (TESL) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is currently the HOD and Lecturer at the Center of Language Studies, City University Malaysia. He has presented papers at local and international conferences. His areas of interest include ESP, Discourse Studies, Literature in ESL, and Professional Development. 

Dr Mohammad Nor Afandi Ibrahim
Tengku Farah Petri Tengku Mahmood

Tengku Farah Petri Tengku Mahmood is a lecturer attached to the Department of English, Academy of Language Studies at UiTM Negeri Sembilan, Seremban Campus.   She graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and earned a Masters Degree in English at the same university.  She started her teaching career at University Kuala Lumpur in 2008 and later joined Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2014.  Her research interest is in discourse studies and corpus linguistics.

Dr Khairil Azwar Razali

Khairil Azwar Razali is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Languages & Management, International Islamic University Malaysia. He is a Lifetime Member of MAAL. His research interests include Teaching ESL, Language Assessment, ESP and Sociolinguistics.

Noor Baiduri Abd Halim

Noor Baiduri Abd Halim is an ESP instructor who specialises in teaching technical and engineering students. She enjoys exploring the use of digital tools and new media in teaching ESP. Besides teaching, she also has interest in doing proofreading and translation works.

Dr Ena Bhattacharyya

Ena Bhattacharyya is a Senior Language and Communication lecturer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak Darul Ridzuan, West Malaysia since 2001. Her research interests are Communicative Competence, Employability Skills, Sustainable Education, and TESL. She is passionate on empowering young graduates Oral Communication Competency. Ena is also a lifetime member of Malaysian Association of Applied Linguistics (MAAL). Datin Dr Nor Hafizah Ismail

Datin Dr Nor Hafizah Ismail handles her personal, professional and social life in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (V.U.C.A) world. She believes it is vital to achieve a balance between physical fulfillment of living with emotional and spiritual consciousness. She believes that It is not that the authentic person does not feel the fear that comes with challenges; rather, he or she is simply more willing to face his/her fear, and to do it anyway

Shazreena Khan

Shazreena Khan holds a Masters in Applied Linguistics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She is an English Language instructor at the faculty of Health Science (UITM) Penang campus. Her research interest is in language use in professional settings, medical discourse and health communication as well as English language teaching and learning in the context of higher education.
